Come and stay in delightful en-suite B&B accommodation in our historic manor house: 10 mins from Lion D’Angers & the annual ‘Mondial du Lion’ European Young Horse Eventing Championships.

On the ground floor is our impressive guest lounge / dining room, with a wonderful beamed ceiling and stone fireplace (pictured above). This leads out onto the terrace and our large garden with fruit trees, flower beds and the local wildlife (we enjoy a large variety of wild birds in the garden - as well providing a home to our resident red squirrels and friendly chickens !)

Upstairs are the 4 comfortable guest bedrooms with newly refurbished bathrooms (2 twin rooms with en-suite & shower, 1 twin room with en-suite & bath/shower and 1 double with en-suite plus shower). All rooms have original beams, unique windows, comfortable beds and tea and coffee-making facilities.

Breakfast is a typically French affair with fresh croissants, yoghurts, freshly baked bread from the village baker and a selection of preserves. Then it’s off to the racecourse!

Our B&B is located in the centre of the small village of St Martin du Bois, between Angers and Laval, just  10 minutes north of Le Lion d’Angers, venue for the annual “Mondial du Lion” event. For more information, or to make a booking; please call  either Chris or Judith  on 00 33 2 41 61 33 52 from England (or 02 41 61 33 52 from within France) or email us.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Manoir, just 10” from the superb course at Le Lion d’Angers—home to the Haras National Stud and location for the annual Mondial du Lion 3-day equestrian eventing competition.

‘La Pigeonnerie’ has a long history. Once the stables to the Manor House, it was converted into a dwelling in the mid 19th Century & has some unique features, such as the beautiful gothic windows in the guest bedrooms.
